Supply Chains are Heroes

Supply chain managers are the ocean heroes we’ve been waiting for.

Wait..what? Who is a ‘supply chain manger’ and how could they ever beat Jason Momoa in a battle for the Ocean Defender crown (and sash, of course)??

Because a supply chain manager punches way above their weight class when it comes to making key decisions about which materials a business will purchase. That means they are the ultimate decision makers about sourcing plastic alternatives or circular packaging that get used for the products that feed, furnish and fuel our everyday lives.

Are there actually any huge companies using supply chains to make a difference in ocean plastics?

Yep. Lots of them. But don’t take our word(s) on yet. Here’s a quick video from Schroeders MyStory series on Bunzl, “the largest company you’ve never heard of” on how they play a pivotal role in keeping our oceans healthy and mitigating climate change.

SeaChange has a proven solution for plastic pollution, but we all need to be working to reduce the amount of plastic produced and used. The sooner we reduce the inflow of ocean plastics, the quicker we can clean up the mess already made.
